Frosty + Fries: Perfect together, just like you and your adopted best friend. That’s the motto Wendy’s is trying to get customers behind to help dogs get adopted.

The fast food chain has teamed up with Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue and Sweet Buffalo on this special campaign to help dogs find a forever home. In Wendy’s bags across Western New York, customers will find a flyer with a photo of Darla the rescue dog, along with the Buddy’s website so people can learn more about her.

“When Wendy’s reached out and wanted to team up with us to get dogs adopted we were elated,” said Kimberly LaRussa of Sweet Buffalo, a good news platform in Buffalo, N.Y. “Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue does such amazing work to save dogs and we are so fortunate to have the support of Wendy’s.”

“Buddy’s is so lucky to have Wendy’s here in Western New York supporting our organization to help us get exposure for dogs and puppies who need help finding their furever homes,” said Julie Starr, founder of Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue.

Darla the rescue dog recently visited Wendy’s in Hamburg, N.Y. and was spoiled like the celebrity that she is. The employees gushed over her and she was able to get her very own Frosty in the drive-thru.

Darla is a loving and playful 3-year-old pup who will give you kisses all day. She is house trained and knows how to give sit, stay and down. She must be the only animal in the home.

She would do best in a young home with owners who have the energy to play and take her for walks. She also needs a fenced-in yard so she can run around and have fun!
